Our university officially launched the 2025–2026 Academic Year with a ceremony held on Friday, October 31, 2025, in the Conference Hall on the 1st floor of Building A. At the event, which was attended by our academics, administrative staff, and students, our university's educational goals and academic priorities for the new term were shared.
Opening Speeches Delivered
The ceremony began at 3:00 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem. This was followed by opening speeches by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatih GÜLTEKİN, and our Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Mehmet ALTUĞ.
The guest speaker of the program, Prof. Dr. Erol GÖKA, focused on the perspectives of the younger generation on justice, ethical responsibility, and social contribution in his presentation titled “The Situation of Youth in the Search for a New World Against Genocide, Oppression, and Injustice.”
Presentation of Academic Achievements
Following the opening lecture, the Professorship/Associate Professorship Certificate Presentation Ceremony was held. This was followed by the Science Award Ceremony and the Academic Performance Award Ceremony. In this section, academics and units that contributed to the university's scientific productivity were honored. Our ceremony ended with a group photo and closed at 5:30 PM.
Looking Ahead to the New Term
Lokman Hekim University will continue to improve the quality of education and training in the 2025–2026 academic year and support interdisciplinary studies and socially-oriented projects. Our university administration emphasized the goals of strengthening the research ecosystem, improving the student experience, and increasing national and international collaborations.
