REGULATIONS
1) Click here for the Principles Governing Horizontal Transfer established by the Council of Higher Education.
2) Paragraph 2 of Article 7 of the “Regulation on the Principles Governing Horizontal Transfer, Double Major, Minor Programs, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer” published in the Official Gazette dated April 24, 2010, No. 27561, which states: “The criteria to be used in the evaluation of lateral transfer applications and the minimum requirements for lateral transfer shall be determined by university senates.”
3) Under Additional Article 1, if a student’s central placement (ÖSYM) score from the year of enrollment is equal to or higher than the minimum score required for the program to which they wish to transfer, the student may apply for a lateral transfer—including to preparatory, intermediate, and final years—regardless of academic standing or program equivalence.
APPLICATION
Applications for horizontal transfer for the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year will begin on August 1, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
Applications must be submitted online; applications submitted in person or by mail will not be accepted.

For the application to be considered, the specified documents must be uploaded to the online application system by the application deadline. Applications with missing documents will not be considered.
- High School Diploma (available via e-Government)
- Copy of ID Card
- Certificate Stating That the Student Has Not Previously Transferred (Certificate of No Obstacle to Horizontal Transfer)
- Original Transcript (Certified original)
- Course Descriptions (Certified original)
- Student Certificate (Certified original with a recent date)
- Certificate Stating That No Disciplinary Action Has Been Taken (May be included in the transcript or student certificate)
- ÖSYM Placement Certificate
- ÖSYM Results Certificate

LOCATION, DATE, AND TIME OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EXAMS
An English Proficiency Exemption Exam will be administered at our University for candidates applying for lateral transfer to the English-language programs of the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, and Faculty of Pharmacy who do not possess English language proficiency certificates.

Note: If the payment is made by a relative or guardian of the student, the student’s first and last name and Turkish ID number must be included in the description field of the bank receipt to ensure the payment can be matched in the system.
Note: Applicants applying to two programs must pay two application fees.
The description field must include: First Name-Last Name-Turkish ID No.-Transfer Application Fee. No refunds will be issued to students who make a payment despite not meeting the application requirements or who do not qualify for transfer.
NOTE: Applicants applying for lateral transfer to the English-language programs of the faculties must upload their English Language Proficiency Certificates during the application process. Otherwise, their applications will be deemed invalid.
