The student panel titled “Critical Case Management in the Emergency Department,” organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Lokman Hekim University, will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Conference Hall on the 1st floor of Block A at LHU.

The aim of the panel is to ensure the correct and rapid assessment of critical cases encountered in the emergency department, to improve clinical decision-making processes, and to enable students to learn the basic principles of emergency medicine applications from a holistic perspective. The event will provide an academic environment for strengthening decision-making skills through discussions based on real case examples.

The Honorary Chair of the panel is Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih GÜLTEKİN, and the Chair is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Mehmet DOĞANAY. The organization is coordinated by Dr. Aslı TÜRKMEN DEMİR and carried out by the LHU Faculty of Medicine Scientific Research Society.

Panel Scope

Throughout the panel, the basic steps followed in the assessment of critically ill patients in the emergency department, rapid triage practices, advanced life support approaches, and clinical decision-making processes related to case management will be discussed. Scenario-based discussions aim to strengthen students' ability to analyze different clinical situations and generate solutions.

The event is open to all health sciences students interested in emergency medicine practices, as well as medical school students. The panel offers educational content for participants who want to improve their clinical decision-making processes.
