The Faculty of Pharmacy at Lokman Hekim Üniversitesi will host the Mini Contest on Patient Counseling to assess students’ professional knowledge and communication skills. The competition will also serve as the official selection process to determine the student who will represent the University at the National Patient Counseling Competition.
Strengthening Professional Communication in Pharmacy Practice
Patient counseling constitutes a core responsibility of the pharmacy profession. Providing accurate and comprehensible information regarding medication use, dosage, storage conditions, potential side effects, and drug interactions is essential for ensuring patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness.
This competition offers students an opportunity to demonstrate both their scientific knowledge and their ability to communicate effectively with patients in a simulated professional setting.
Selection for National Representation
Through a structured academic evaluation process, participants will be assessed on clinical knowledge, communication clarity, professional conduct, and counseling effectiveness. At the conclusion of the competition, one student will be selected to represent Lokman Hekim University at the National Patient Counseling Competition.
An Academic Platform for Professional Development
Open to Faculty of Pharmacy students, the event aims to enhance professional confidence, strengthen patient-centered communication skills, and reinforce the principles of clinical pharmacy practice. The competition will be conducted in accordance with academic standards and evaluation criteria.
