The 1st National Nursing Research Congress, organized in collaboration with the Nursing Research Development Association and Gazi University, was held on 27–28 November 2025 in Ankara. The congress provided an academic platform focused on strengthening nursing research, enhancing methodological approaches and supporting interdisciplinary scientific collaboration. Faculty members and research assistants from the Lokman Hekim University Department of Nursing took part in the event with active contributions.

Representing our university were Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖLBAŞI, Prof. Dr. Belgin (AKIN) NALÇACI, Lect. Nurbanu ODACI, Res. Asst. Büşranur GÖNCEKLİ and Res. Asst. Fatma YILDIRIM. Their participation contributed to discussions on emerging research themes in nursing and helped expand scientific communication networks within the field.

During the congress, Prof. Dr. Belgin NALÇACI delivered two presentations. Her first talk, titled “Design and Knowledge Acquisition Process in Experimental Research,” addressed fundamental principles of research planning and scientific data collection.
Her second presentation, “Cultural Adaptation of Scales: Validity and Reliability in Cross-Cultural Research,” examined the methodological considerations involved in adapting measurement tools for use in different cultural contexts.

In addition to academic presentations, Lect. Nurbanu ODACI, a member of the Public Health Nursing Department, served on the congress organizing committee as Congress Secretary. Her role contributed to the effective coordination and implementation of the event.

The congress offered a valuable environment for strengthening research culture within nursing and for advancing scientific methods used in the discipline. Lokman Hekim University extends its congratulations to all participating faculty members and research assistants for their contributions and wishes them continued success in their academic work.
