The “Addiction Education and YEDAM Awareness” event, organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Social and Cultural Affairs at Lokman Hekim University, the Young Yeşilay Addiction Prevention Club, and YEDAM, was held on September 25, 2026.
Held in the Conference Hall on the -1st Floor of Block A at Lokman Hekim University, the event featured Social Services Specialist Zeynep Şanlı Adanalı, who provided students with comprehensive information on combating addiction.
Topics covered during the event included types of addiction, ways to prevent addiction, the importance of awareness in combating addiction, and individuals’ access to support mechanisms. Additionally, students were informed about the free counseling and support services offered by the Yeşilay Counseling Center (YEDAM).
At the event, which drew significant interest from students, the importance of early awareness and access to accurate information in the fight against addiction was emphasized. Participants also had the opportunity to get answers to their questions about the support services offered by YEDAM.
