Lokman Hekim University hosted an important visit on May 29, 2025, to strengthen its academic collaborations in the international arena. A six-member academic delegation led by Rector Prof. Dr. K.H. Hamid Fahmy ZARKASYİ from Darussalam Gontor University, one of Indonesia's prestigious higher education institutions, visited our university.
The visit aimed to evaluate the infrastructure and collaboration opportunities in the field of health sciences, particularly focusing on our university's Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy. The program, which began at 10:00 AM, concluded at 5:00 PM after a full day of intensive and productive discussions.
During the visit, a general presentation was made about our university's international activities. Following this, faculty members representing the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy shared detailed information about the theoretical and clinical education structure of their faculties and answered questions from the delegation. A comprehensive briefing presentation was also delivered at the dean's level regarding the education model, laboratory infrastructure, and research activities of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The delegation also visited the Health Sciences Technology Development Center (LHUSTEK) and the Central Laboratories. Assoc. Prof. Deniz YİĞİT and Semih ÇALAMAK gave presentations in English about the projects carried out by the center, its research opportunities, and potential areas of cooperation.
During the visit, discussions were held on mutual cooperation potentials, student and academic exchange programs, and joint research projects. The Rectorate of Lokman Hekim University presented a plaque to the visiting delegation in memory of the day and thanked them for their contributions to the scientific and international vision of our university.
