11th World Halal Summit and Halal Expo 2025 Successfully Concluded
Held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the 11th World Halal Summit took place on 26–28 November 2025 in cooperation with Discover Events, SMIIC, and Lokman Hekim University. As one of the most comprehensive international gatherings in the global halal industry, this year’s summit once again brought together a wide international audience.
International Participation and Scientific Sessions
The summit hosted speakers from more than twenty countries, who contributed to ten thematic sessions throughout the three-day program. Presentations explored contemporary approaches in areas such as halal food, quality assurance, standards, healthcare services, cosmetics, tourism, and sustainable production. Sectoral developments, scientific findings, and national practices were evaluated from multiple perspectives. At the end of the program, awards were presented to participants who achieved distinction.
Lokman Hekim University’s Role in the Summit
Lokman Hekim University served as an organizational partner of this year’s World Halal Summit. The university also took part in the 10th Halal Expo, held concurrently with the summit, where it hosted a booth to showcase its academic work and ongoing projects in the field of halal studies. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the university’s initiatives in halal certification, quality management, standardization in healthcare services, and related research activities.
Overall Assessment
The 11th World Halal Summit and 10th Halal Expo provided an important platform that supported global collaboration and knowledge exchange within the halal sector. Lokman Hekim University played an active role through its academic contributions and institution-wide engagement. This year’s summit concluded as a productive meeting point where strategic perspectives on the future of the halal industry were discussed and new partnerships were established.
