Art Meets Medicine: 3rd Photography Competition within the 14 March Medical Day Events
The Faculty of Medicine at Lokman Hekim Üniversitesi is organizing the 3rd Photography Competition as part of the 14 March Medical Day celebrations.
Theme: “Open” — Expanding Creative Boundaries
The competition theme has been defined as “Open.” This concept allows participants conceptual freedom, encouraging submissions that may explore health, humanity, nature, labor, urban life, or abstract interpretations.
The theme aims to emphasize originality, artistic vision, and personal interpretation.
Participation and Exhibition Process
According to the official event application document:
The competition runs between 13 February and 14 March 2026.
Photographs must be submitted via email.
Selected works will be printed in 30x40 cm format and framed.
An exhibition will be organized in Block C as part of the Medical Day events.
This structure transforms the competition into a tangible exhibition experience beyond digital evaluation.
Awards Supporting Artistic Expression
The competition prizes are:
1st Prize: 10,000 TL
2nd Prize: 6,000 TL
3rd Prize: 4,000 TL
These awards aim to encourage artistic production and support the sustainability of cultural activities within the university.
