The English Preparatory Exam Schedule is as follows:
EXAM DATES AND TIMES
English Proficiency Placement Exam (STS) 8 September 2025 (Monday) at 10:00 AM
English Proficiency Exam (1st Session) 9 September 2025 (Tuesday) at 10:00 AM
English Proficiency Exam (2nd Session) 10 September 2025 (Wednesday) at 10:00
English Level Placement Exam (STS)
* 08September 2025 Mondayat 10:00 a.m. in person.
* The Level Determination Exam (STS) consists of four sections: multiple choice, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension.
* If you answer approximately 2/3 of the questions correctly in the Level Placement Test (65 points), you will qualify to take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE). Other students will be placed in the appropriate level (A1, A2, B1) of the LHÜ Preparatory Programme based on the number of correct answers they receive in the exam.
* Please leave any questions you do not know blank so that your level can be determined accurately.
English Proficiency Exam (EPE)
* The English Proficiency Exam (EPE) will be held in person on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9-10 September 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and will consist of two separate sessions.
* The first session covers reading, listening, and writing skills.
* The second session assesses speaking skills only. Each student will take the exam alone in the designated classroom and at the designated time, and the speaking exam will last a maximum of 6 minutes for each student.
* If you pass the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) successfully (65 points), you will be exempt from the preparatory programme.
* Your exam results will be announced on our university's DİLMER page on Saturday, 13 September 2025, at 17:00.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
* To take these exams, you only need to have finalised your application to the university. You do not need to apply separately for the exam.
* On the day of the exam, you must bring your ID card and student document proving that you have applied to the university.
* No make-up exams will be held for students who do not take these exams on the specified dates. Students who do not take the Level Determination Exam will be required to take English Preparatory Education starting from the most basic level. For students who qualify for the second exam (EPE), if they do not take this exam, their Preparatory Education plan will be determined based on the results of the first exam they took (STS).
* Students who complete the English Preparatory Education programme for the 2024-25 academic year and fail the year-end English Proficiency Exam will only be eligible to take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE).
