The “Discovery Trail Kastamonu” event, organized in collaboration between the Department of Social and Cultural Affairs and the Youth Office at Lokman Hekim University, was held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, with great enthusiasm from our students and academic and administrative staff.
The event offered a journey of discovery surrounded by nature, visiting Horma Canyon, Valla Canyon, the Şerife Bacı Monument, and Kastamonu Castle. Participants enjoyed the natural beauty and had the opportunity to get to know Kastamonu's historical and cultural fabric up close.
The group departed from the front of Block A of Lokman Hekim University at 7:00 a.m. and arrived in Kastamonu after a pleasant journey. The event concluded with a return to Ankara in the evening, following a day of hiking, nature observation, and city tours.
The event, which offered free transportation and meals, was attended not only by our students but also by academic and administrative staff from our university. This made the event a valuable social activity that brought diverse segments of our university community together and promoted more interaction.
As Lokman Hekim University, we will continue to organize such events with the aim of supporting our students' social integration, encouraging them to connect with nature, and raising their cultural awareness.
We would like to thank all the students and staff who participated.
