Dr. Seher YAYLACI, Assistant Professor at Lokman Hekim University, has been awarded funding by the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) under the 2025 “B Project Call.”
Dr. Yaylacı, who is a faculty member in the Department of Medical Biology, is leading the project titled “The Potential of Peptide-Based Hydrogel Interfaces to Enhance Osteointegration: Multidisciplinary Analyses on Clinical Scalability and a Sheep Model.” The project stands out for its innovative approach in the field of health sciences. The project will conduct preclinical modeling with a multidisciplinary approach aimed at increasing the integration of biomaterials into bone tissue.
Within the scope of the project, the effect of peptide-based hydrogel interfaces on osteointegration processes will be investigated, and it is aimed that the data obtained using a sheep model will contribute to clinical scalability. This study, which brings together cellular biology, tissue engineering, and biomaterial science, is expected to provide a scientific foundation for advanced bone repair and implant technologies.
Lokman Hekim University continues to enable its academics to receive support at national and international platforms with its emphasis on R&D studies in the field of health. Dr. Seher YAYLACI's project once again demonstrates the university's scientific productivity and interdisciplinary research capacity.
As the Lokman Hekim University family, we congratulate our esteemed professor and hope that the project will contribute to health sciences.
