FROM THE RECTORATE OF LOKMAN HEKİM UNIVERSITY
For employment in units affiliated with our university; in accordance with the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the Regulation on Promotion and Appointment to Academic Positions, the Regulation on Procedures and Principles Regarding Central Examinations and Entrance Examinations for Appointments to Academic Staff Positions Other Than Faculty Members, and the relevant articles of the Lokman Hekim University Guidelines on Promotion and Appointment to Faculty Membership.

Documents Required for Application:
YÖK-formatted curriculum vitae, 2 photographs, photocopy of ID, criminal record, military service status document, graduation certificates, specialization/subspecialty certificates, foreign language certificate.

Candidates to be assigned to English programs must be qualified to teach in English in accordance with the relevant legislation. The exam schedule for Teaching Staff will be announced separately when necessary.
1- For Professor positions: Application Form, Minimum Criteria Statement - Turkish Section, Minimum Criteria Statement - English Section
Candidates applying for professor positions must submit their curriculum vitae (in YÖK format), two (2) photographs, a copy of their identity card, a military service certificate, and certified copies of their bachelor's, master's, doctoral, or specialist degree certificates and associate professorship certificate (which can be approved by our university provided they are notarized or accompanied by photocopies of the originals) and 6 (six) portable memory devices (containing the associate professorship foreign language certificate, diploma samples, curriculum vitae and publication list, scientific work and publications) to the Personnel Affairs Coordination Office of our university in person or by mail.
Furthermore, in accordance with Article 14 of the “Regulations on Promotion and Appointment to Teaching Positions,” they shall indicate their main research works in their publication lists.
2- For Associate Professor positions: Application Form, Minimum Criteria Statement-Turkish Section, Minimum Criteria Statement-English Section
Candidates applying for associate professor positions must submit their curriculum vitae (in YÖK format), two (2) photographs, a copy of their identity card, a document certifying their military status, and certified copies of their bachelor's, master's, doctoral, or specialist degree certificates and associate professor certificate (notarized or certified by our university provided that copies are submitted with the originals) and 4 (four) portable memory devices (containing the associate professorship foreign language certificate, diploma samples, curriculum vitae and publication list, scientific work and publications) to the Personnel Affairs Coordination Office of our University in person or by mail.
3- For Assistant Professor positions: Application Form, Minimum Criteria Statement-Turkish Section, Minimum Criteria Statement-English Section
Candidates applying for Assistant Professor positions must submit their curriculum vitae (in YÖK format), two (2) photographs, a copy of their identity card, a document certifying their military status, and certified copies of their bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and specialization certificates (notarized or approved by our university provided that copies are submitted along with the originals) and 4 (four) portable memory devices (containing foreign language certificates, diploma samples, curriculum vitae and publication list, scientific work and publications) to the Personnel Affairs Coordination Office of our University in person or by mail.
General conditions
(1) For appointments to teaching staff positions covered by this Regulation;
a) To meet the conditions specified in Article 48 of the Civil Servants Law No. 657,
b) Have obtained a minimum score of 70 on the ALES, a minimum score of 50 on a central foreign language exam accepted by the Higher Education Council, or an equivalent score on an exam recognized as equivalent. For those requesting exemption from the central exam, the ALES score will be considered as 70 during the preliminary and final evaluation stages.
(2) With the exception of teaching staff positions in the fields of expertise determined by the Higher Education Council for vocational schools, universities and high technology institutes may, by senate decision, set a minimum score above the ALES and foreign language score thresholds specified in this Regulation.
(3) The equivalence of the 4-point and 5-point grading systems used in calculating the undergraduate degree grade in the preliminary and final evaluation stages to the 100-point grading system is determined by a decision of the Higher Education Council. The equivalence of other grading systems to the 100-point grading system is determined by the senates of higher education institutions.
Special Conditions
(1) Candidates applying for teaching staff positions must have at least a thesis-based master's degree.
Exemption
(1) The central exam requirement does not apply to those who have completed a doctorate or specialization in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine, those who will be appointed to specialization areas determined by the Higher Education Council at vocational schools, or those who have worked or are currently working in teaching staff positions at higher education institutions.
(2) The foreign language requirement shall not apply to applications for teaching staff positions at vocational schools, except for teaching assistant positions covered by the fourth paragraph of Article 6 of this Regulation.
NOTE:
- Doctorate, associate professor, and professor diplomas and titles obtained from foreign countries must be approved as equivalent by the Inter-University Council.
- Employees of any public institution (even if they have previously worked and left) shall attach to their application documents a certified service certificate from their institution, including their disciplinary investigation history and reason for leaving, as well as their military service status documents.
- If the original and photocopy of the documents requested with notary approval are presented during the application, our University can provide a “true copy” approval.
- All contact information (mobile, work, home phone, and email address) of the candidate must be specified in the application letter.
- Applications must be submitted in person or by mail. Applications sent by mail after 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date will not be considered.
