Bilfen High School Students Participated in the “Journey to the Future of Health with Simulation” Program at Lokman Hekim University

On November 24, 2025, Lokman Hekim University welcomed students from Bilfen College High School Experience School and held the “Journey to the Future of Health with Simulation” program. Organized to give students a close-up look at current practices in the field of health, the event served as an important gathering for high school students to gain professional awareness and have an inspiring experience regarding the future of health sciences.

An Inspiring Experience for Future Healthcare Professionals

The program aimed to introduce young students to the culture of applied learning, which holds an important place in Lokman Hekim University's educational approach. With the use of simulation technologies in healthcare education becoming increasingly important today, high school students had the opportunity to explore the university's advanced simulation laboratories. Throughout the event, emphasis was placed on fundamental concepts such as ethical conduct in healthcare professions, multidisciplinary work principles, and patient safety awareness.

In this context, the program offered a quality experience that enabled students to grasp not only the technical aspects of healthcare professions but also professional responsibilities, the importance of teamwork, and a human-centered service approach.

Program Flow and Hands-On Simulation Experiences

The event began with opening speeches by university academics. The academics provided information about the reflections of technological developments in the health field on educational processes and invited students to discover the dynamic structure of health sciences.

After the opening section, high school students participated in practical experiences at the simulation center accompanied by academic guides. Students had the opportunity to experience healthcare practices through realistic scenarios at stations covering many areas, such as emergency response simulations, basic clinical practices, and communication and coordination among healthcare teams.

Simulation activities were supported by qualified content that stimulated students' decision-making, problem-solving, and quick thinking skills, while also reflecting the daily working environment of healthcare professionals. During the applications, students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with professional equipment and observe the practical aspects of healthcare education firsthand.

Implemented in line with Lokman Hekim University's educational vision, this program was organized with the aim of providing Bilfen High School students with an effective learning experience that increases their interest and motivation in the field of healthcare.
