MEDICAL FACULTY YEAR IV CLINICAL PREPARATION TRAINING PROGRAM

Location: VITAL Simulation Centre & LHÜ Ankara Hospital
Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Medicine is organising a “Clinical Preparation Training Programme” to prepare fourth-year students for clinical practice.
Over the course of five days, students will:
- Learn the basic principles of patient-physician communication, taking medical history, assessing vital signs, and physical examination techniques,
- Gain practical skills such as emergency intervention procedures, basic life support, intravenous access, injections, and catheterisation,
- They will gain experience in real patient environments through outpatient clinic scenarios and emergency department applications,
- and they will acquire knowledge in professional responsibility areas such as infection control programmes, health quality standards, information security, and emergency management.
The programme will be conducted with the contributions of Prof. Dr. Muhammet Güven, Prof. Dr. Engin Dursun, Prof. Dr. Adile Berna Dursun, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fisun Sözen, Dr. Ali Osman Avcı, Dr. Aslı Türkmen Demir, Dr. M. Fatih Sürmen and many other distinguished academics in their fields.
The training will be held
- between 25 and 28 August 2025 at the VITAL Simulation Centre,
- and on 29 August 2025 at the LHÜ Ankara Hospital.
With this comprehensive training programme, our students will have the opportunity to reinforce the necessary theoretical knowledge and develop their practical skills before starting their clinical internships.
