Equivalency/Exemption Application for the Spring Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year
Equivalency and exemption applications for students who have enrolled at Lokman Hekim University, who wish to continue their education through horizontal or vertical transitions, who have had their relationship terminated while being a student at any Higher Education Institution or have graduated and are eligible to re-enroll at Lokman Hekim University, who have completed a part of their education at another domestic/international higher education institution within the scope of exchange programs, who are enrolled as special students, or who have taken courses from another domestic/international higher education institution within the framework of summer school, will be processed through the Student Information System (OBS) based on the courses they have previously taken and successfully completed.
What is Exemption?
Exemption refers to the recognition of the equivalence of courses taken and successfully completed previously in place of courses that are part of the curriculum, based on the compatibility of ECTS credits and content.
Who can apply for Equivalency/Exemption?
Students transferring horizontally from a different university
Students pursuing a minor/major program
Students transferring via DGS
Students who have previously taken courses at any Higher Education Institution
Students who have taken courses from another university through exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi, or Mevlâna
Students who have taken courses from another university through summer school

!!! Important Note: Do not reapply for equivalency/exemption for courses that have been previously accepted.
!!! Important Note: Apply for Equivalency Applications under the specific application related to your field. For example, students transferring via DGS should apply to the application named "Vertical Transfer", while students transferring horizontally should apply to the application named "Horizontal Transfer". If there is no specific application name related to your field, apply to the application named "Other".

Important Note: Our students enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry can apply for equivalency/exemption to the faculty secretaries with the application form, transcript, and course content. Our students enrolled in other faculties and vocational school programs will apply through the system.
!!! Important Note: Based on your exemption status, perform your course checks during the "Add-Drop" period, which will take place from 26.02.2024 to 03.03.2024.
