Erasmus+ Study and Internship Announcement for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
(2023-1-TR01-KA131-HED-000120776) Study and Internship Mobility Announcement
For application: Please read the page below first; then click here.
Erasmus foreign language exam application form: https://forms.gle/67eNVEXhR56WFqLY8
Within the framework of Erasmus+ Program for the 2024 and 2025 academic years, students who wish to participate in mobility from our University can apply online through the platform structured by the National Agency of Turkey until December 10, 2024. Applications will be processed exclusively through this platform. Please note that application documents must not be submitted physically and should only be uploaded to the relevant section of the Application Portal. Please ensure that you apply within the dates specified in the announcement. The application link will be active as of November 27, 2024. Applications will not be accepted after the final application date. The application portal on the e-Government Gate platform will close on December 10, 2024, at 23:59, and no documents or applications can be submitted after this date and time. Application procedures will only be carried out through this platform.
Candidates who wish to take the foreign language exam must apply through the form by 17:00 on November 10. Candidates who do not take the exam will lose 5 points. It will not be possible for students who do not apply for the language exam to take it later. The Erasmus foreign language exam will be held on November 14-15, 2024, at 12:00. The exam location will be communicated to the students who are taking the exam.
All applications will be made in accordance with bilateral agreements, which are updated on the e-Government portal, and the available quotas for the relevant academic semester.
All candidates will be ranked according to their weighted scores based on the evaluation criteria mentioned below, and the preference rankings they create during the application will be taken into account. Since changes to preference rankings will not be allowed after the application period, it is important that all candidates create their preferences starting with the institution they most wish to be placed in.
After the announcement of the student selection results and the preliminary selection list, any objections, applications, and requests regarding the selection and placement will be accepted by email.
For all your questions regarding the implementation of Erasmus+ programs, you can contact erasmus@lokmanhekim.edu.tr.

Foreign Language Score:
To participate in the Erasmus foreign language exam, students must achieve a minimum of 60 in the written exam and a combined average of 70 in both the oral and written exams. Results from previous years’ exams will not be accepted.
As foreign language proficiency must be documented, students are required to submit a document showing a minimum score of 70 in exams such as YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL, or the Erasmus Foreign Language exam conducted by our University in November 2024. Applications from students who fail to pass the language exam will not be evaluated.
Students who fail to meet the language proficiency requirements will have their applications deemed invalid.
If students have multiple foreign language exam results, the highest score will be considered during the evaluation process.
Students applying must:
- Meet with their Erasmus coordinator in their academic unit to review courses offered by the universities in the program they wish to apply for and make their preferences accordingly.
- Obtain approval from their Erasmus coordinator regarding their university choices for study mobility (an approval section is included in the application form). Incorrect choices will be considered as no choice made, and the student will be responsible for this.
- Can make multiple preferences from universities that have an agreement with our university, as indicated in this announcement.
- All selected candidates (main and reserve) for Erasmus mobility with or without grant are required to attend all meetings held by the Erasmus Coordination Office.
- After being announced as eligible for Erasmus mobility, students will be considered eligible for a grant or participation in Erasmus mobility only if they meet the conditions announced by the Erasmus Coordination Office in full and without any missing documentation. Until they sign a contract with our University, they will only be considered as candidates.
- Students who fail to meet their responsibilities, such as attending meetings or submitting documents on time without a valid reason, may have their grants transferred to reserve candidates or completely canceled.
- Candidates who fail to meet the responsibilities announced by the Erasmus Coordination Office will be considered to have waived their rights.
This mobility program covers the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years. Mobility carried out outside this date range cannot be considered under this announcement.
Students can apply for mobility in the 2024-2025 academic year for the Summer-Fall-Spring term.
In the application process, grants will be distributed equally among all faculties/departments. If there are insufficient applications from a department, the available grant will be prioritized within the same faculty.
If there are sufficient applications from each department and the grant is sufficient, the available grant will be equally divided among all departments (3 main grant recipients and 9 reserves per term).
If there are insufficient suitable applications from some departments or an increase in available grants, the grant will be redistributed, giving priority to departments and programs that have not sufficiently benefited from Erasmus mobility.
Documents Required for Prioritization:
- Disability Health Board Report
- Document proving the candidate is a relative of a martyr/disabled veteran
- Document from the Ministry of Family and Social Services stating the candidate is under protection, care, or accommodation according to Law No. 2828.
APPLICATION METHOD AND PLACE
After the application form and other required documents are completed, they must be approved by the Erasmus Coordinator of the relevant academic unit (Faculty/Institute/School) and then uploaded to the National Agency Turna Portal platform. Applications without the required documents or the Erasmus Coordinator’s signature/approval will be considered invalid.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE APPLICATION STAGE:
- Erasmus Study Mobility Application Form (Click to download)
- Foreign Language Exam Results (Applications without a valid language proficiency certificate or for students who fail the language exam will be deemed invalid)
- Internship acceptance letter (Candidates with an internship acceptance will receive +10 points)
The list of selected main and reserve candidates will be published on the Erasmus Coordination Office website.
The list of universities and departments that you can apply to is provided below and also published on our website: Erasmus Webpage. When making your preferences, please ensure that the universities have agreements with your department. For internship mobility, no agreement is required. It is possible to do internships in institutions such as clinics and hospitals related to your field.
General Terms
The mobility activity involves completing part of the student’s studies at a partner institution through a bilateral agreement. If students wish to extend their Erasmus mobility without a grant, their request will be evaluated by the Erasmus Committee. Accepted requests will allow the student to stay without a grant, under the condition that all Erasmus rules are followed.
First-year undergraduate students cannot benefit from Erasmus study mobility, but they can benefit from Erasmus internship mobility.
For postgraduate students, if their GPA is not yet available, their undergraduate graduation GPA will be used for evaluation. For doctoral students, the master's graduation GPA will be used.
Students wishing to carry out mobility during their thesis period must submit an approval letter from their thesis advisor at Lokman Hekim University and a letter from a faculty member at the host institution who will supervise their thesis work. (Two letters or one letter with two signatures)
These students must provide a valid document/letter stating that the faculty member at the host institution has successfully supervised their thesis work upon their return.
Mobility participants must be full-time students. The program they follow must correspond to 30 ECTS credits for one semester or 60 ECTS credits for one full academic year. Academic recognition is provided for credits passed, while failed credits must be retaken in the following academic year. Students who fail to successfully complete their courses during mobility will be evaluated by the Erasmus Committee after their return, and their grant may be reduced according to the percentage of failed ECTS.
Students are responsible for learning the application and language requirements of the universities they plan to apply to. As institutions update their language requirements every year, students should check the host institutions' websites for the most up-to-date information.
Students must check the academic calendars of the universities they wish to apply to. It is important to check for any conflicts with their home university's academic calendar or if the host institution only accepts students in specific periods.
Course compatibility with the host university should be checked with the Erasmus Coordinator in the relevant academic department, and approval must be obtained. If a student is awarded a grant but there is no course compatibility, their mobility may be canceled, and the grant may be transferred to reserve students.
Once the application is submitted, preference changes cannot be made, so it is important to be careful when making your choices.
