2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR ABOUT COVID-19 MEASURES
At the meeting of the Pandemic Advisory Board of our University on Monday, August 16, 2021, the decisions taken for the 2021-2022 academic year in order to create a safe campus environment, protect and maintain individual/communal health are as follows; General Precautions 1. Those with symptoms of illness or positive for COVID-19 PCR should not be admitted to campus and lecture halls.2. SARS-CoV-2 PCR test results should be requested every week from students who have not been vaccinated for two doses.3. Reception of visitors to the campus should be limited. If visitors are to be received, the HES code should be questioned and the temperature should be measured. On-campus individual precautionsMask (Medical mask);1. Students, academic staff, administrative staff and visitors should wear masks at all times, regardless of their vaccination status and before entering the campus building2. It should be ensured that there are spare masks in the building in order to replace the masks in case of moisture3. Care should be taken to have lunches as wide as possible, and it should be ensured that the mask-free time is as short as possible4. It should be ensured that mask waste boxes are kept and emptied daily Distance;1. It should be ensured that students do not form crowded groups in the campus2. Care should be taken to ensure the appropriate distance between students in the classroom3. Classroom arrangement should be provided so that the faces of the students are facing the same direction Ventilation;1. During the lecture, as much as possible, the classroom windows should be kept open without risk and natural ventilation should be provided2. Between classes, the windows of the classroom should be fully opened and ventilated for at least 10 minutes3. It should be ensured that the windows of the common indoor areas of the building are constantly open and/or ventilated as much as possible to get the outside air Cleaning1. Intensifying the routine cleaning of the building2. Providing hand washing facilities with soap and water to ensure hand hygiene3. It should be ensured that an appropriate number of hand antiseptics are offered to the common areas4. Hand sanitizer should be available at the classroom entrances5. Garbage bins with lids that can be opened without touching (with feet) should be available at the lecture hall entrances6. If common symptoms of COVID-19* occur while students, academic staff, administrative staff and visitors are in the campus building; they will be referred to the healthcare facility, regardless of vaccination status and COVID-19 history* Common symptoms; • Fever • Cough • Shortness of breath • Headache • Throat pain* Runny nose • Muscle and joint pain • Weakness •Loss of sense of smell and taste sensation • Diarrhea
