In the VIth Sports Pharmacy Training Program, which will be held online between April 8 and May 3, 2025 in cooperation with Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Pharmacy and Lokman Hekim Continuing Education Center, detailed information about the effective role of pharmacy practices in the field of sports health will be provided.
Our training program is planned to include 4 main modules, approximately 35 hours of lectures and talks. In this part of our series, which has been continuing in the field of Sports Pharmacy since 2020, there will be trainers and guests from Turkey and abroad as always.
As is the case in all specialties of pharmacy science, uninterrupted professional collaborations with other health disciplines are indispensable in the field of Sports Pharmacy. You will be able to improve and update your knowledge about the concepts of the specialty of Sports Pharmacy thanks to the interactive trainings that will take place with the presentations of expert trainers from different branches from Turkey and abroad.
Sports Pharmacy; It is a set of methods to contribute to the sports health system by taking part in preventive and preventive health services for athletes with the theoretical and practical applications of pharmacy science.
What can a pharmacist specialized in this field do?
Provides an athlete-oriented consultancy service in accordance with the principles of rational drug use
It guides athletes to stay on the right side in the anti-doping process, and takes on the role of educator about unconscious/unaware doping,
It raises their awareness and commitment to values such as clean sport and Olympic spirit,
Increases the awareness of the athlete and his/her environment in line with the principle of perfect responsibility,
Makes a difference by following up-to-date information on the use of safe and evidence-based food supplements/nutritional supplements,
Provides reliable counseling services in sports, medication and ergogenic aid choices,
Informs athletes about the use of soft orthopedic medical products that can be preferred in sports-related injuries,
Closely follows the positive effects of various specialties in the field of pharmacy on athlete health and becomes a practitioner of the fields,
Plans treatment options for athletes with high efficacy and low adverse effects by ensuring the preparation of specially formulated majistral prescriptions for athletes.

Since the specialty of Sports Pharmacy is a newly developing field worldwide, it is a title where career horizons are open and wide. Improving and expanding your knowledge in this field now will be a precursor to much more effective positions in the near future.
The Sports Pharmacy Online Education Program has been uniquely designed for Pharmacists and other Health Professionals who want to be more effective in the field of sports health, taking into account the current practices in our country and the anticipated application titles in the future. The Pharmaceuticals in Sport Certificate Program and resource materials prepared by the International Olympic Committee Health and Science Commission have been used as a model for the design of this advanced program.
What is the Scope of the Training Program?
The training program consists of 4 modules and approximately 35 hours of lectures and “Sportive Conversations” with well-known names from the world of sport.
The lectures will be conducted online synchronously or asynchronously. All lectures and chat programs will be recorded and can be watched encrypted on the LHÜSEM TV platform specially prepared for the participants.
The Training Program will take place between April 8 and May 3, 2025 on weekdays between 20:00 and 22:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and between 10:00 and 15:00 on Saturdays.
At the end of the training, our participants will be given a Certificate of Participation approved by Lokman Hekim University Continuing Education Center.

Our training program; It is suitable for the participation of our Independent Pharmacists, Public Pharmacists, Assistant Pharmacists, Pharmacists working as Second Pharmacists and 5th Year Pharmacy Faculty Students.
