ABSTRACT RULES

  • Abstracts will be accepted after peer review, and accepted abstracts may be presented as oral presentations at the conference.
  • After being presented at the conference, abstracts will be published online in PDF format on the conference website under the title “Lokman Hekim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, 1st Student Conference, E-Abstract Book.” Papers not presented at the conference will not be published in the E-Book of Papers
  • .
  • Conference Participation Certificates and papers published in the E-Book of Papers can be added to the Social Transcript.
  • For an accepted paper to be presented at the conference, at least one of the authors must be registered for the conference.
  • All paper submissions will be made via the email address lhusbfogrkong@lokmanhekim.edu.tr.
  • The deadline for paper submissions is October 27, 2025.
  • Papers must be prepared in both Turkish and English.
  • Papers should be written in Times New Roman font, 12 point, and 1.5 line spacing.
  • Academic titles should not be used in author names.
  • Names should be written in lowercase letters with only the first letter capitalized (Mxxx Yxxx¹). The author who will present the paper should be indicated with an underline.
  • The names and addresses of the authors' institutions must be specified (¹Xxxx University Faculty of Health Sciences, Xxxx Department, Ankara).
  • The authors' email addresses must be clearly stated, and their information must be added using superscript numbers for each author.
  • Only the first letter of the abstract title should be capitalized and bolded. Avoid abbreviations in the title if possible (Xxxxx xxxx xxxxxx xxxx xxxx)
  • Abstracts should not exceed 350 words, excluding the title and author information.
  • Original research abstracts should be structured to include the sections “Introduction and Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion.”
  • Case presentation abstracts should be structured to include the sections “Introduction and Purpose, Case(s), Conclusion.”
  • Review abstracts should be structured as plain text, including the purpose of the review.
  • Keywords should be at least 3 and at most 5. All words except proper nouns should be written in lowercase, and there should be no punctuation marks at the end of words.
  • Abbreviations should be avoided as much as possible in the abstract. If an abbreviation is used, the term should be written in full where it is first used, and the abbreviation should be given in parentheses.
  • The abstract should briefly state the purpose of the study and the methods used, p-values should be given in parentheses in the findings, and the results should be explained in the context of the findings.

Oral Presentation Rules

  • Oral presentations should be prepared in Turkish in PowerPoint format.
  • Oral presentations, including discussion, should not exceed 7 minutes.
