White Coat Wearing Ceremony for Faculty of Dentistry Students at Lokman Hekim University
The white coat wearing ceremony organized for the 1st year Faculty of Dentistry students at Lokman Hekim University was held on November 20, 2024 at our university -1st floor conference hall with an enthusiastic atmosphere. The ceremony started with the speeches of the students who ranked first in both Turkish and English education programs. Zehra Yağmur Zaim, who ranked first in the Turkish Dentistry program, and Bengisu Kayra Dede, who ranked first in the English Dentistry program, made emotional and inspiring speeches expressing the meaning of this special day for them and their passion for the dental profession.
Meaningful Messages from the Academic Staff
Following the speeches of our students, Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Dentistry Dean Prof. Dr. Lale KARAAĞAÇLIOĞLU gave a speech about the ethical values of the profession and the responsibility symbolized by the white coat and gave important advice to the students.
Serkan ER, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ankara Chamber of Dentistry, emphasized the difficulties and requirements of the dentistry profession and expressed his expectations from the young physician candidates for the future of the sector.
Lokman Hekim University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih GÜLTEKİN and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Mehmet ALTUĞ expressed their happiness to witness such an important turning point in the lives of the students in their speeches. Altuğ wished the students success and said, “As a part of the Lokman Hekim University family, we will always be with you.”

After the opening speeches, the most exciting part of the ceremony began. Our esteemed academicians from the Faculty of Dentistry dressed our students in their white coats with great pride. This moment was remembered as an unforgettable moment for the students and their families.

At the end of the ceremony, a group photo was taken with students, academics and participants. The photo shoot crowned this meaningful day and became a symbol of unity for both students and academic staff.
