October 27 World Occupational Therapy Day was celebrated at our university with various activities emphasizing the theme “Opportunity + Choice = Justice”. On World Occupational Therapy Day, Lokman Hekim University Occupational Therapy Department students participated in the “Difference or Awareness?” table tennis tournament, “We Focus on Goals, Not Deficiencies” empathy event on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, between 12.00-14.00 in the foyer area of Block A. Prof. Dr. Ayşe KARADUMAN, Head of Occupational Therapy Department, Lecturer. Assist. Başak Çağla ARSLAN and students of the Department of Occupational Therapy and an awareness event was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Mehmet ALTUĞ, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih GÜLTEKİN and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖLBAŞI and students. In the event, second year students of the Department of Occupational Therapy applied tests that evaluate attention and memory. First year students of the Department of Occupational Therapy explained their posters representing each Occupational Therapy application area. The importance of a fair world for everyone was emphasized with the “Difference or Awareness?” table tennis match. Occupational Therapy Department students served the cookies they prepared with the motto “Awareness without movement is worthless, take action.” to the participants. Happy World Occupational Therapy Day, wishing a fair world for everyone where we focus on goals, not deficiencies.
