The Florence Network, established in 1995, is one of the oldest nursing and midwifery networks in Europe. Comprising more than forty members across Europe and the United Kingdom, the Florence Network held its Annual Meeting in Madrid, Spain, from April 24th to 28th, 2023. During this meeting, the Nursing and Midwifery Department of Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Health Sciences was accepted as a member of this international network. Prof. Dr. Belgin Akın, the Head of the Nursing Department, serves as the 'Florence Network Fleco' on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Department of Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Health Sciences. We take pride in being one of the three universities in Turkey to join the Florence Network.
