The 27th TÜBİTAK Sky Observation Festival, organized by TÜBİTAK and under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, was held in Erzurum between August 28 and 31, 2025.
Dr. Havva Sibel KURT, Head of the Optometry Program, won the right to participate in the festival, which received over 33,000 applications.
During the festival, participants had the opportunity to observe Saturn's rings, Jupiter's atmosphere, and the Andromeda Galaxy through 35 telescopes. During the daytime, observations were made using a solar telescope.
Turkey's first astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, also participated in the event, sharing his space travel experiences and inspiring the participants.
