Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing held an event titled “Accreditation Journey” with students on September 18, 2025, in the conference hall of Block A of our university. During the event, the stages and objectives of the accreditation process aimed at improving the quality of nursing education and its contributions to students were presented.
The program covered the department's efforts to comply with national and international standards, quality assurance systems, and the importance of accreditation for professional careers in detail. Academics highlighted the advantages of accreditation for students both during their education and in their professional lives after graduation.
The event continued with a question-and-answer session with the active participation of students. Students asked questions about the future of the nursing profession, the implications of accreditation in working life, and the department's goals.
Lokman Hekim University Nursing Department aims to increase students' professional awareness, prepare them for a quality-focused education process, and contribute to their taking stronger steps as future healthcare professionals through such events.
