A Message From Festival President
Lokman Hekim University (LHU) is proud to be a sponsor and host of the International Art& Science Festival, 2023 in Capital City Ankara. 
One of the important missions of LHU, which is a health-themed university, is to contribute to social development of community. In this context, it implements sports, culture and art projects. IASF-2023 was initiated by LHU to contribute to the art field and to add a new project to the social investments of the university.
International Art& Science Festival’s mission is to combine the art and science and bringing together artists and scientists. The idea of the project was born from the belief that social development will be realized with the contribution of science and art together, so that scientists and artists together will contribute to producing original ideas.
This first International Art&Science Festival organization thank you to all who helped make the festival possible. I would like to thank the Kupula Art Mexico group for their contribution as a partner of this festival. I would also like to thank the ArtDuoProject organization, which contributed to the realization of the organization.
The festival welcomes artists and scientists from different countries. In this context, 20 artists that 15 from foreign countries and five from Turkey and four speakers, one from the USA and three from different universities in Türkiye, take part in the scientific session titled “Art and Health Science”.
One of the most important missions of the festival is to bring art and science with the community. For this reason, all events that will take place during the festival will be open to the public and free of charge. As Darwin said about the significance of science and art in society “Science and art are like the two wings of a bird. Societies that can use both wings fly and become free. Those who cannot fly become chickens. Imagine what a chicken society can do…” We, as LHU, aim to strengthen these two wings of society through our festival.
Aiming to be a pioneer in science, LHU has shown us that it is also a candidate university to take responsibility in the art with this festival.
