Turkish Preparatory School
Lokman Hekim University Turkish Preparatory School offers a language education to international students enrolled in programs whose medium of instruction is Turkish in order to ensure that they acquire the necessary language proficiency.
Turkish preparatory education is organized in five courses (A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1) for one academic year. The normal duration of education is one year, and the maximum duration is set as two academic years.
Turkish Preparatory School Exemption Criteria:
1.Successfully achieving a minimum score of 70 in the Turkish Proficiency Exam conducted by Lokman Hekim University Language Teaching, Application, and Research Center at the beginning of each academic year.
2.Successfully achieving a minimum score of 70 after completing the Turkish preparatory education program conducted by Lokman Hekim University DİLMER.
3.Possessing a valid exam result certificate that demonstrates a successful score in the Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS) organized by Yunus Emre Institute, indicating a Turkish proficiency level of at least C1.
4.Completing at least the last three years of secondary education in a Turkish-medium secondary education institution (including high schools in Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, or abroad but affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of Education) or graduating from an associate, undergraduate, or graduate program in a university where the medium of instruction is Turkish and providing documentation to verify this.
English Preparatory School
Lokman Hekim University English Preparatory School offers a comprehensive education program that aims to ensure that students admitted to English-medium programs achieve sufficient language skills at the academic level.
The English preparatory program consists of four 16-week courses/modules during one academic year. The normal duration of education is one year, and the maximum duration is two academic years.
English Preparatory School Exemption Criteria:
1. Students who have completed at least the last three years of their secondary education in secondary education institutions in a country where English is the official language of instruction and is spoken as a native language and attended by the citizens of that country.
2. Students who have achieved the minimum required scores in international foreign language exams listed in Table 1, which are recognized as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education, are exempt from the preparatory program.
