Students who have graduated from secondary schools abroad are required to obtain an equivalency certificate confirming that their diplomas are equivalent to those issued by Turkish secondary education institutions.
Equivalency procedures are carried out by Provincial Directorates of National Education in metropolitan districts with a population of over 250,000 in Türkiye, or by education counsellor offices and education attachés abroad.
Students who have graduated from schools established abroad by the Republic of Türkiye or from institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are exempt from the equivalency requirement.
The equivalency process is conducted through thee-Denklik system and requires submission of the original diploma.
