STUDENT VISA
Students who will come to study in Turkey must obtain a student visa from nearest Turkish Republic Consulate in their own country. Student visa procedures can take time and therefore it is important that you apply for a student visa as soon as you receive your admission letter from the university.

STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT:
Having arrived to Turkey, and after completing your university registration, the most important thing the student needs to do is to apply for a residence permit. After filling out the application form at https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/, he/she should submit the below mentioned necessary documents to the International Office of the university:
Documents Required:
- Declaration/Control Document to be filled in at the International Office of the University
- Residence permit registration/application form (wet-signed by the student)
- Passport or passport substitute document (in the form of original seen)
- Document showing student status and residence permit envelope (taken from Student Affairs Office of the University)
- 4 biometric photos
- Valid health insurance (GSS or private health insurance covering the period of residence permit request)
- Document indicating the address information where you will stay:
- If you are staying in your own house in Turkey, a copy of the title deed (for extension applications, “document showing the place of residence and a bill” is sufficient)
- If you are staying with a rental agreement, a notarized copy of the rental agreement
- If you are staying at hotels, etc. proof of your stay in these places
- If you are staying at a student dormitory, document showing that you are staying at the dormitory
- If you are staying in a third person’s residence, the notarized undertaking of the host (if the host is married, also the notarized undertaking of the spouse)
- Receipt showing that you have paid the residence permit document fee
- For foreigners under 18 years of age; for those arriving with a visa exemption or with a visa for a different purpose; the document containing the information of the parent/guardian (birth certificate, family certificate, etc.) and the deed of consent given by the parent/guardian/legal representative (for those arriving with a visa suitable for the purpose ((education visa)); the deed of consent and the document containing the information of the parent/guardian will not be added).
- Fingerprints: For the students who haven’t submitted their fingerprints, they need to submit their digital fingerprints with the coordination of International Office of the University to be arranged and given at Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
After the submission of these above-mentioned documents to the International Office of the University by the student, the official representative of the International Office of the University will submit these documents of each student to Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
Depending on the workload of Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, the student will receive his/her residence permit card within 1-2 months.
