The primary objective of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Health Sciences is to train competent occupational therapists who are committed to ethical principles, open to lifelong learning, and who adopt multidisciplinary and evidence-based working approaches. Objectives
1. To train graduates who have acquired theoretical knowledge and current practices related to occupational therapy and gained assessment and intervention skills.
2. To provide the competence to plan and implement person-centered occupational therapy interventions that support individuals' independence and social participation in their occupations.
3. To train health professionals who can communicate effectively with different disciplines and adapt to teamwork.
4. To produce individuals who embrace lifelong learning, can continue their professional development, and contribute to scientific research.
5. To develop the ability to think critically and conduct research by adopting evidence-based practices.
6. To produce graduates who adhere to professional ethical principles, are sensitive to society, and are responsible to their environment.
7. To train individuals with communication and representation skills capable of representing the occupational therapy profession on national and international platforms.
