An Invitation to the Scientific Journey of Caffeine-Containing Beverages: Caffeine Extraction Workshop
This hands-on event, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semih ÇALAMAK, is being organized within the framework of the “Caffeine Awareness Project,” supported by the European Solidarity Program (ESC). The project, numbered 2023-3-TR01-ESC30-SOL-000171860, aims to raise awareness about caffeine consumption among university students aged 18-30.
Under the slogan “Let's discover the science behind the cup of coffee we drink every day together!”, the workshop will draw attention to the effects of unconscious consumption of caffeinated products on individual health, while also aiming to contribute to participants' scientific thinking and laboratory practices.
The “Caffeine Extraction Workshop” will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in B Block Laboratory 3. All students interested in becoming more aware of caffeine consumption and experiencing the taste of science are invited to attend the event.
