What is staff mobility?

Staff Mobility activities can be carried out in two ways:

Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA)

Staff Mobility for Staff Training (STT)

Who can benefit from staff training mobility activities?

Academic and administrative staff of higher education institutions can participate in this activity to develop themselves in their fields of work and share experiences with their European colleagues.

What are the periods specified for Staff Mobility?

Activities are carried out in accordance with the minimum and maximum periods specified by the European Commission.

Staff mobility activities cannot extend beyond the project completion date specified in the announcement.

The minimum duration is two consecutive working days and the maximum is two months. Mobility periods are specified in the announcement according to the grant amount.

What are the application requirements?

Personnel participating in the activity must meet the following minimum requirements:

Personnel wishing to participate in staff mobility must be employed full-time or part-time at a higher education institution in Turkey that holds an ECHE and must be actively working at that institution.

Can I receive a grant during staff mobility?

The grant awarded to staff benefiting from staff mobility is a contribution and is not intended to cover all expenses incurred during the period spent abroad. The daily amount to be paid to staff eligible for staff mobility is updated according to the Erasmus+ implementation handbook data for the project period.

What documents are required for the application?

The following documents must be included in staff mobility files:

Inter-institutional agreement,

Application form,

Invitation letter,

Grant agreement signed between the staff member and the higher education institution,

Staff mobility agreement for teaching activities (approved by both parties),

Certificate of participation,

Documents showing the dates of travel (such as flight tickets, passport entries and exits)

Staff Survey: Staff benefiting from teaching mobility are required to complete the online EU Survey using the Mobility Tool.

Is it possible for me to benefit from higher education student and staff mobility independently of the higher education institution I am affiliated with?

No. Higher education student and staff mobility activities can only be accessed through the higher education institutions of which you are a student or staff member.

Can I choose the country or higher education institution I want to go to?

Within the scope of higher education student learning mobility and staff teaching mobility, you can only go to partner higher education institutions abroad with which higher education institutions have agreements. However, if the institution you wish to go to is inclined to enter into an agreement, you can notify the LHU International Office and they can facilitate an inter-institutional agreement with the relevant institution.

Who can help me with accommodation?

It is not the responsibility of our University or the National Agency to arrange accommodation for those who will benefit from higher education student and staff mobility activities.
