Lokman Hekim University was established with the Law No. 7063 published in the Official Gazette No. 30276 dated December 20, 2017. One of the units established by this Law is the Institute of Health Sciences. Lokman Hekim University started its academic activities in the 2018-2019 academic year. Since its establishment, our institute continues its development under the directorship of Prof. Dr. Belma GÜMÜŞEL, Prof. Dr. Zehra GÖLBAŞI, Prof. Dr. Sulhiye YILDIZ and currently Prof. Dr. Belgin AKIN. Lokman Hekim University Institute of Health Sciences offers a dynamic educational environment with a student-centered education approach in order to transform research in the field of health into national and international knowledge and to train scientists committed to ethical values. The first program opened in the Institute in 2018 was the Nutrition and Dietetics Master's Program with Thesis. Today, it continues its activities with 6 Non-Thesis, 27 Thesis Master's Programs and 13 Doctorate Programs that serve science in many fields of health. Students take theoretical and practical courses throughout their graduate education. The research activities of our Institute are mainly carried out within the framework of our students' thesis studies at master's and doctoral level. The fact that we are a health-themed center in the realization of research activities offers our students a wide range of research opportunities. Lokman Hekim University offers a modern education opportunity with classrooms and exam halls reserved for our Institute in the C Block campus.
