General Information
Management in Nursing is one of the specialty areas defined in the Nursing Regulation. Management in Nursing science specialist refers to the nurse who graduates by completing graduate education in this field and is obliged to fulfill the roles and responsibilities determined by the regulation. In order to meet the manpower needs of our country in this field, Lokman Hekim University Management in Nursing Master's Program with Thesis was established with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 9.06.2021. Although the language of instruction of the program is Turkish, foreign language (English) resources are also used in the education process. The program is carried out by faculty members who are experts in the field of Nursing Management and Health Management. An average of 5/10 students are accepted to the program each year.

Admission and Registration Requirements
Student applications, admission and final registrations to the Master's Degree Program with Thesis in Nursing Management are made in accordance with Lokman Hekim University Institute of Health Sciences Graduate Education and Training Directive. In addition, before each application period, the special conditions, entrance exam place and date are determined and announced before the application with the recommendation of the Department and the decision of the Institute Administrative Board.
Students who have graduated from the Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, School of Nursing, School of Nursing, School of Health, Department of Nursing, and School of Health, Department of Nursing, and graduates of other related faculties who have a bachelor's degree deemed appropriate by the Institute Board with the recommendation of the Academic Board of the Department can apply to the Master's Program with Thesis in Nursing Management.
Turkish or foreign students who have graduated from undergraduate programs in foreign countries must have a certificate of equivalence or recognition from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
For the applications to the program, it is necessary to have ALES (SAY / EA) score determined by the Institute Board, provided that it is not less than 55. Students who meet the application requirements are taken to the scientific evaluation exam (written and/or interview).
The calculation of the overall success grade is made by taking into account the ALES score, undergraduate graduation grade point average and the results of the scientific evaluation exam. According to the general success grade ranking, the student is entitled to final registration within the quota specified.

Qualification Requirements and Rules
In order to graduate from the Master's Program in Nursing Management with Thesis, the student must complete at least 21 credits and 120 ECTS (at least seven courses, seminar course and thesis study). Seminar course and thesis study are non-credit and are evaluated as pass/fail. The student must take at least half of the total credits required by the program to which he / she is affiliated, even if he / she has credit transfer courses. If the advisor deems it appropriate and necessary, courses from other programs can also be selected. 'Lokman Hekim University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations' are taken as basis in the evaluation of students' course success.
Purpose of the Program
The aim of the Master's Program in Nursing Management is to contribute to the science of health management in the light of contemporary and universal values and to reflect the knowledge in this field to the country's health system, health services and nursing management processes; to train highly qualified health managers for the future of the country by providing scientific and professional development opportunities in the most effective way possible for quality, efficient and effective health service delivery.
In line with this aim, students who graduate from the program are expected to develop basic qualities such as research, critical and analytical thinking, problem solving, independent decision making, following current scientific knowledge and technology, taking responsibility and accountability, being a leader to guide colleagues, having professional values and ethical sensitivity.

Employment Opportunities
Students who graduate from the Master's program in Nursing Management are employed as middle and senior level managers with administrative responsibilities in a wide range of service areas besides health and nursing management.
Access to Higher Degree Programs
Students who graduate from the Master of Science in Nursing Management with Thesis program can apply to doctoral programs when they meet the other necessary conditions.
Measurement and Evaluation
Students are given a course success grade for each course at the end of the semester in which they are enrolled. The course success grade is obtained by evaluating the success of the student during the semester (midterm exams, homework, applied studies, projects, laboratories and similar studies) and the general exam together. Program courses must be successfully completed in a maximum of two years with a GPA of at least 2.50.
Graduation Requirements
In order for a student to graduate from the Master of Science in Nursing Management with Thesis program, he / she must have successfully completed all the courses in the program, provide a minimum of 120 ECTS credits, and have a GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00. After completing the courses, a student in the master's program with thesis is obliged to prepare a thesis related to his/her field, write the results of his/her thesis in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the institute and defend his/her thesis orally in front of the jury. The student's graduation date is the date of the thesis exam in which the master's thesis is accepted.
Mode of Study
The mode of operation is full time. If necessary, courses and exams can be held after the end of working hours on weekdays and/or on Saturdays and Sundays.
