Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Health Sciences Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Departments students wore their white coats, the symbol of purity and cleanliness.
There were emotional moments in the ceremony held with the participation of our 1st grade students.
In their opening speeches, the students who placed first in their departments shared their pride of placing first in their departments and being a student of a university serving in the field of health.
Prof. Dr. Ayşe KARADUMAN, head of the department of Occupational Therapy, talked about the past and present of the profession and mentioned the privileges of the department. Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih GÜLTEKİN congratulated all our students who wore their white coats and wished success to our students who took the first step into their professional lives by wearing the first apron.
At the ceremony, which continued with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Nilgün BEK, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, expressed her excitement and happiness and asked our students to wear their white coats proudly throughout their professional lives. Then Rector Prof. Fatih GÜLTEKİN congratulated the students. Finally, Prof. Dr. Mehmet ALTUĞ congratulated the students with the words “today we have entrusted you with your white coats, be transparent, be fair, do not discriminate, be honest, never withhold your helping hand from people”.
The ceremony continued with our students wearing their aprons from the hands of their teachers.
