The profession of physiotherapist is one of the professions whose importance is increasing all over the world with the ageing of the population, the increase in chronic diseases and the development of rehabilitation technologies. Physiotherapists work in almost every field of health to improve mobility, improve function, and protect and improve public health.
Our department started education in the 2018-2019 academic year under the roof of Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Health Sciences and has been graduating since 2022. Our department trains qualified and well-equipped physiotherapists with its strong academic staff who are experts in their field, competent and all physiotherapists. Our education programme is designed to train physiotherapists with world-class professional competence and equipped with 21st-century skills and is constantly updated according to changing needs. Thanks to the infrastructure and facilities offered by our university, our department offers qualified learning environments in classrooms and laboratories with the necessary technological equipment and equipment for the conduct of theoretical and practical courses. Thanks to our regular protocols with Lokman Hekim Health Group Hospitals and many other institutions, our students have the opportunity to practice clinically in different specialities of physiotherapy. The master's and doctoral programmes under the roof of our Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation offer our students the opportunity to continue their postgraduate education at our university.
Accredited in 2025 for five years, our department has registered that it meets national quality standards in education, training and research.
