The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics' Community Health Internship, conducted in collaboration with the Mamak Municipality, has been successfully completed. During the internship, comprehensive and informative training programs were provided for the people of Mamak, addressing different age groups and life stages. Awareness-raising educational activities were conducted on nutrition for diabetes, nutrition during exercise, food hygiene, preschool and school-age nutrition, nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding, nutrition for adolescents, and healthy nutrition in the elderly. Additionally, a study was conducted to determine the eating habits and nutritional status of individuals aged 65 and over. The data is being evaluated.

These studies aimed to improve individuals' knowledge levels to improve their quality of life, promote healthy eating habits, raise preventive health awareness, and encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviors throughout the community. In the long term, these activities are intended to contribute to strengthening public health and reducing the burden of referrals on the healthcare system.
