a) To open units in Turkey and abroad in accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation in order to teach Turkish at home and abroad and to promote Turkey and Turkish culture.
b) To carry out joint education, training, research, practice and publication activities by conducting studies on teaching Turkish and foreign languages with relevant public institutions and organizations within the framework of national and international bilateral agreements.
c) To open courses for lecturers and teachers assigned by relevant public institutions and organizations to teach Turkish and foreign languages in Turkey and abroad, to have them do internships, to prepare introductory and guide publications about the countries where they will be assigned.
ç) To conduct research and applications on Turkish and foreign language teaching methods, to prepare materials, to support and encourage ongoing studies.
d) Organizing trips in Turkey and abroad and giving awards in order to encourage them to teach Turkish in a better way and to introduce Turkey and Turkish culture in the best way.
e) To prepare programs and develop methods for teaching Turkish as a mother tongue or to foreigners, to carry out joint studies with various institutions and organizations in Turkey and abroad on this subject.
f) To organize practice programs for the students of the Department of Turkology of universities abroad and the final year students and graduates of the Departments of Turkish, Turkish Language and Literature, Turkish Language and Literature Teaching, Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, Folklore, Linguistics and Foreign Languages of universities in Turkey, to have them do internships, and to give certificates related to these studies when necessary.
g) To conduct comparative studies between the teaching of Turkish and other languages in order to make Turkish teaching more efficient.
ğ) To organize language exams and language proficiency exams in Turkey and abroad.
h) To organize social and culturally supported courses for primary, secondary and university students to improve their foreign languages or Turkish language skills such as diction, reading, etc.
ı) To organize in-service courses and certificate programs in the fields of teaching Turkish and other languages in Turkey and abroad.
