The “EBECE” Award-Winning Escape Game was successfully held to support first-year midwifery students in adapting to university life and to help them meet and connect with one another.
Organized under the slogan “Find, Solve, Discover!”, the event invited students to complete various tasks as a team at different stations across the university. Through quizzes, QR code clues, practical mini-missions, and guided challenges, the game enhanced students’ teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while providing an enjoyable and educational experience.
Midwifery Department Asst. Prof. Özlem Ülkü BULUT, Lecturer Ece ÖZKARADİĞİN and the "Hayat Veren Eller" Student Community collaborated on the event, where students completed the distribution and services at the stations and were introduced to the fundamental concepts of midwifery.. Students also learned about the department’s practice areas, the VİTAL Simulation Laboratory, and various social spaces.
At the end of the event, among the “Blue” team — which successfully completed all tasks in the shortest time — Ayşe Betül SALTIK achieved the highest score and was awarded first place. Attracting great interest from students, the “EBECE” Award-Winning Escape Game made a significant contribution to supporting their adaptation to the university and the department, while also laying the groundwork for the development of teamwork and communication skills among the midwives of the future.
