Separate applications will be made as “Major Application” and “Minor Application” from the “Application Procedures” menu of the Student Information System.

PROGRAM APPLICATION AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Double Major applications to our university are made in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Transition, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette dated April 24, 2010 and numbered 27561 and the provisions of the University Double Major and Minor Program Directive.

Students can apply for a double major at the beginning of the third semester of the undergraduate program at the earliest, at the beginning of the fifth semester in four-year programs, at the beginning of the seventh semester in five-year programs, at the beginning of the ninth semester in six-year programs, at the beginning of the second semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the third semester at the latest in the associate degree program.

The student must have successfully completed all the courses in the major program until the semester of application and must have met the success ranking requirement determined by YÖK for the relevant program in the year of enrollment.

At the time of application, the student's GPA in the major program must be at least 2.72 out of 4.00 and must be in the top 20% of the success ranking in the major program.

Students whose GPA in the major program is at least 2.72 out of 4.00, but who are not in the top 20% of the success ranking in the major program, those who have a score not less than the base score of the program to be double majored in the relevant year can also apply to the double major program. In the evaluation, priority is given to those with a success ranking of 20% and a higher GPA.

Students cannot enroll in more than one double major program at the same time. In addition to the double major program to which the student applies, the student can apply for a minor in a different program.

Not having been dismissed from any double major program voluntarily or for any reason until the semester of application,

Students cannot apply for a minor to the program they apply for a double major and cannot apply for a double major to the program they apply for a minor.

A student enrolled in a major diploma program cannot apply for a double major for the same program.

Undergraduate students can double major in both undergraduate and associate degree programs, and associate degree students can double major only in associate degree programs.

In the admission of students to the double major program that accepts students with an aptitude exam, it is required to be successful in the aptitude exam.

In order for students enrolled in Lokman Hekim University undergraduate diploma programs with inter-institutional transfer and vertical transfer to apply for double major programs, they must study at least one semester in the program they enrolled in.
