Separate applications must be submitted via the Student Information System under the “Application Procedures” menu, selecting “Double Major Application” and “Minor Application.”
APPLICATION AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAM:
Applications for Double Major programs at our university are made in accordance with the Regulations on Transfer, Double Major, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, published in the Official Gazette dated April 24, 2010, and numbered 27561, and the Regulations on Double Major and Minor Programs at our university. and the Regulations on Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer, and the University's Dual Major and Minor Program Guidelines.
Students may apply for a double major program at the beginning of the third semester of their undergraduate program at the earliest, and at the beginning of the fifth semester for four-year programs, the seventh semester for five-year programs, and the ninth semester for six-year programs. For associate degree programs, applications may be submitted at the beginning of the second semester at the earliest and the third semester at the latest.
The student must have successfully completed all courses in their major program up to the semester in which they apply and must also meet the success ranking requirement determined by YÖK for the relevant program in the year of registration.
The student's GPA in their major program must be at least 2.72 out of 4.00 at the time of application, and they must be in the top 20% of their major program's ranking.
Students whose GPA in their main program is at least 2.72 out of 4.00 but who are not in the top 20% of their main program's success ranking may also apply for a double major program if they have a score that is not lower than the minimum score for the relevant year of the double major program. In the evaluation, priority is given to those with a high GPA and ranking in the top 20%.
Students cannot enroll in more than one double major program at the same time. Students may apply for a minor program in addition to the double major program they have applied for.
The student must not have voluntarily withdrawn from or been dismissed from any dual major program for any reason prior to the semester in which they apply.
A student who applies for a dual major program cannot apply for a minor in the same program, nor can they apply for a dual major in the program for which they applied for a minor.
A student enrolled in a bachelor's degree program cannot apply for a dual major in the same program.
Undergraduate students can pursue a double major in both undergraduate and associate degree programs, while associate degree students can only pursue a double major in associate degree programs.
For double major programs that admit students based on an aptitude test, successful performance in the aptitude test is also required for admission.
Students who have enrolled in Lokman Hekim University undergraduate diploma programs through inter-institutional horizontal transfer or vertical transfer may apply for dual major programs provided they have completed at least one semester of study in the program they are enrolled in.
