DENTISTRY SPECIALTY TRAINING ENTRANCE EXAM STRATEGY
In line with its founding mission, Lokman Hekim University aims to train qualified, well-equipped dentists capable of meeting the needs of today’s world. Within this scope, the undergraduate education offered at our Faculty of Dentistry is not limited to providing students with professional knowledge and skills; it also aims to prepare them for specialty training.
For our University, achievements in the Dentistry Specialty Training Entrance Examination (DUS) are not only individual accomplishments but also key indicators of our institutional development, visibility, and academic reputation at both national and international levels. For this reason, Lokman Hekim University provides its students with systematic guidance from the first year onward and has adopted its DUS strategy as an integral part of its holistic educational policy.
In recent years, DUS exam questions have been prepared in line with the National Core Education Program and cover both the fundamental subjects taught in courses and the cases frequently encountered in professional practice. Lokman Hekim University aims to support its students in this regard and help them succeed in both their academic and professional lives.
Our strategies toward this goal are as follows:
Early Awareness: We ensure that our students begin their educational journey with awareness of the DUS strategy in their first year.
Seminars: At the beginning and middle of each academic year, we organize DUS seminars for all classes and set projections for the courses of that period.
Encouragement for Exam Preparation: We particularly encourage our fifth-year students to make effective use of their free time to prepare for exams.
Question Adaptation: Starting in the first year, we include previous DUS questions in examinations whenever possible and encourage our faculty members to adopt this approach.
Staying Up to Date: After each DUS exam, we share the questions with our faculty members to help them follow current developments and convey them to students.
