Lokman Hekim University has created a unique first in Ankara, our capital city, by incorporating five health-related faculties within the health-themed university concept.
Education in our faculty is five years and in the first three years of vocational education, students develop their professional skills with pre-clinical practice courses in addition to basic medical courses and theoretical courses in dentistry.
Our pre-clinical practical courses are held in fully equipped prosthesis and multidisciplinary phantom laboratories located on the 5th and 6th floors of our building, and the applications to be performed on the patient are taught by simulation by providing one-to-one clinical conditions.
Our students get to know clinical environments by going on “Clinical Observations” in the spring semester starting from the 3rd grade.
4th and 5th grades are the classes where clinical applications are predominantly given and our students perform the number of jobs requested from them under the control of faculty members.
Our trainings are carried out in Turkish and English within the framework of the same curricula.
In our faculty, an education program that is compatible with the National Core Education Program for Pre-Graduation Dentistry-2024 (Duçep-2024), which is valid in all dental curricula, is implemented.
In addition, our faculty is a member of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE). Our education model is organized within the framework of a system recommended by the Association for Dental Education in Europe and fulfills the conditions applied in European Union countries. Thus, our courses in the education program include all the knowledge and competencies required for dentists graduating from European Union countries.
Our goal in education is to train modern dentists who are well-equipped, have a good command of current technological developments, have high synthesis skills, and have ethical values with a program worthy of 21st century dentistry.
In addition, our most important goal is to constantly renew our knowledge and transfer it to our students in order to train dentists who have proven themselves in the international arena, have advanced knowledge and research skills, and have a developed sense of social responsibility.
Dentistry is a very valuable profession that is closely related to aesthetic concepts that include science and art. Today is the age of digitalization. Naturally, our profession is progressing by adapting to these issues.
The educational part of these applications, which create various comforts and conveniences for both the physician and the patient by minimizing the time factor in the procedures performed, is included in our curriculum in every aspect. The preference of our faculty by international students is increasing day by day. Our academic staff consists of specialized and experienced faculty members. It is aimed to provide the best dentistry education in Turkey to both domestic and international students with a strong academic staff.
