Özgür Köy Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre Child Adolescent Alcohol Substance Treatment Centre was opened on Monday, 12 August 2024 in order to carry out a more effective fight against addictions in children and adolescents. Established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Zehra Arıkan, this centre will be staffed by a team of experts in the field. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist Dr. Lecturer. Samet Can Demirci, Psychologist Naz Aksoy and Social Worker Zeynep Sıla Öztürk will provide comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation services to children struggling with addiction.
In the centre, alcohol and substance addiction and behavioural addictions such as technology, gambling and gaming are treated with a comprehensive approach. Within this framework, treatment processes tailored to the individual needs of each child are offered, supported by group and individual therapies as well as counselling services, training programmes and rehabilitation activities. At every stage of the treatment process, it is aimed to provide multidimensional support for children's psychosocial development as well as their emotional and behavioural health.
In Private Sincan Lokman Hekim Hospital Child Psychiatry Polyclinic, Dr. Lecturer. Following the examination by Dr. Samet Can Demirci, children are referred to Özgür Köy Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre when deemed necessary.
