INITIAL INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATION Application: Application documents are filled out by the manufacturer / service provider requesting halal conformity assessment (certification) and the organization information is sent to LHUHAM.
- Application Control - Acceptance/Rejection: The information of the organization is examined and the adequacy of certification within the scope of the application is evaluated.
- Audit: The organization deemed sufficient within the scope of the certification type is audited within the framework of the relevant OIC/SMIIC or TSE K Halal Standard under the conditions and environment stipulated by the Center with the Audit Team consisting of at least one Islamic Affairs Specialist and competent Chief Technical Auditor, Technical Expert in the relevant field.
- Inspections and Tests: Necessary samples are taken according to the nature of the products/services, inspections and tests are carried out in the relevant laboratories. All inspection and test results are evaluated and an audit report is prepared by the Audit Team.
- Evaluation: The Audit Report is submitted to LHUHAM Halal Certification Committee. The audit report/results are evaluated by the committee consisting of at least 3 (three) people, at least one of whom is an Islamic Affairs Specialist, one of whom is an expert in the relevant sector such as food/cosmetics/cleanliness and disinfectant etc. and one of whom is LHUHAM Manager, among the people who have knowledge and experience in halal certification services in a way to ensure the principle of impartiality, independence and transparency.
- Certification Decision - Approval/Rejection: The product/service, which is approved unanimously by the committee as a result of its approval, is certified with a halal certificate of conformity for a period of three years.
SURVEILLANCE & SPECIAL AUDITS Sur veillance audits and special audits are carried out in the first and second years after certification. In case of non-conformity detected, suspension (suspension of the right of use for a certain period of time) or cancellation of the certificate and termination of the contract are carried out, taking into account the importance and degree of non-conformity. CERTIFICATE RENEWAL In the third year of the certificate, a certificate renewal audit is carried out upon the request of the organization, and the certificate is renewed as a result of its conformity and approval decision. Thus, the three-year conformity assessment program including surveillance and special audits is repeated.
