Mission:
To be a preferred and trusted leader in all kinds of training, organisation, research, production and conformity assessment (certification) for halal products and services.
Vision:
To increase the awareness of halal and healthy life; to ensure the spread of halal products and services worldwide by prioritising scientific knowledge.
Principles:
Islamic Sensitivity and Commitment to Islamic Values:
Muslim. Acts in accordance with the basic principles of Islam and Islamic rules. Acts with the utmost respect for Islamic sensitivities and concerns and adheres to all Islamic values in all interactions related to halal issues.
Science Based Work:
Carries out its work in the light of scientific knowledge in an accurate and consistent manner by providing sufficient competence.
Risk Based Approach: It takes into account existing or potential risks while fulfilling its duties, contributes to the prevention of risks and improvement of the system by taking the necessary measures.
Impartiality:
It uses its discretionary powers in accordance with impartiality, free from all kinds of arbitrariness. It cannot give preferential or privileged treatment or practice to real or legal persons, and cannot act in a manner targeting the benefit or harm of any political party, person or group. He/she is personally responsible for conflicts of interest and acts cautiously about any potential or actual conflict of interest and takes the necessary steps to avoid conflicts of interest.
Confidentiality:
Keeps all information obtained, created and not made available to the public confidential, except for any obligation such as legal or contractual arrangements or written authorisation.
Transparency:
It is open about decisions and activities that affect society, the economy and the environment and is willing to communicate these issues in a clear, accurate, timely, honest and complete manner.
